Gita is surely(not perhaps) the book with maximum number of commentaries in the world. Many-a-scholar as well as Toms Dics and Harrys have written on it and about it. I know many Kundus, Pakias, Tambis, Ghanshus, Dholus who are masters on the Gita in their own eyes. I had a long discussion spanned over about two decades with a person who knows the essence of the Gita albeit partly. But I was not comfortable with some of his views. I will try to recall and present some of that discussion in spite of my failing memory. So let us start in place of any prologue.
